Australian actress Mia Wasikowska is best know for playing the classic heroines Alice in Wonderland and Jane Eyre, as well as Annette Benning and Julianne Moore's teenage daughter in The Kids Are All Right, but her greatest role so far may be as the face of Miu Miu's Spring 2012 campaign. The photos capture a bit of the collection's dark romance. More after the jump.

Innocence Lost: Carey Mulligan for 'W'
In Nina Ricci |
Actress Carey Mulligan takes a surprisingly sensual turn on the cover of the January 2012 issue of W magazine to promote her risque new film Shame. The rest of the shoot is far more tame, but it is beautiful and cinematic with a '60s feel and a hint of sorrow. Shot by Michael Thompson and styled by Edward Enninful. See the rest of the images after the jump.

Selling: Hailee Steinfeld, the New Face of Miu Miu (and what a face)
She garnered acclaim for her portrayal in last year's Coen Brothers' western True Grit, but Hailee Steinfeld was also noted for her red carpet style, wearing designs by Marchesa, Prada, and Miu Miu. Miuccia Prada must have caught on to her old-soul, ingenue appeal, because she has cast her in Miu Miu's Fall 2011 campaign, gorgeously photographed by Bruce Webber. The clothes themselves have a '40s retro-appeal, like if Joan Crawford had been a teenager in the '40s she would have worn this. Check it out!
